Karttik Shah
1979-2004
Tribute from Nadine Lincoln:
I met Karttik the summer after I graduated. He was class of β98. For those of you who knew him, he could light up any room with his smile, was such a snazzy dresser, and was simply fabulous. He passed in March 2004. Karttik did a lot for the Canadian haemophiliac society and he was one of the first to initiate a youth program. His family established Karttik Shah Youth Fellowship Award.
Heβs survived by his parents, older sister, and husband.
Karttik once told me he went to Jordan for work with the haemophilia society and blatantly asked a Jordan official about their criminal same-sex laws. He was bad ass like that.
